October 25 Yesterday’s questionA lot of people apparently think the answer to yesterday’s question is the Welsh mountain Snowdon. In actual fact Snowdon at 1085m in height making it about the 63st highest mountain in Great Britain with Ben Nevis and approximately 61 other Scottish mountains all of a greater height. Snowdon can be properly described as the highest mountain in Wales, or the highest mountain in Great Britain excluding Scotland (i.e. England & Wales) but it is not by any stretch of the imagination the second highest mountain in Great Britain. Ben Macdui at 1309m in height is the second highest mountain in Great Britain.
